Trip to Nandi hill

"Biking is not a passion its a religion"

Bally bikerz is a biking club recently formed in bally, currently there are 9 members and we plan to expand the club. The president of the club is none other than Renald.

The Journey with Bally bikerz…

The biking community was formed a month back. Finally we decided to take off to Nandhi Hills (60 kms north of Bangalore at an altitude 1478 m above Sea Level).

The ‘pilot Roadies’….. Srini, Raghu, Ajosh , Renald, Abishek, Alok, Rajiv, Pargath &Bhaskar. Want more details…?? Read on…
We had a bullet Machismo 500cc (Srini), Bullet 350cc(Renald), Two Pulsar(Ajosh, Bhaskar) and a CBZ( Abishek).

Journey began early morning on Saturday 8 Dec. Yes you read it right ‘Early Morning’ and in a freezing12 to 13 ·c!!! But as the saying goes…where there is a will there is a way…and that wasn’t going to stop us from accomplishing our long dreamt mission.

As decided we met at KR Puram HP petrol pump; fueled our bikes and we took off. As cold as it could have been, we were for sure almost freezing to Zero ·c. But that wasn’t going to deter us in the least bit of way. It was decided that I would lead with the pulsar and Renald (Bullet) would be the last bike to follow.

As we reached the hebbal flyover around 7:15 am the mist had cleared and the sun had decided to show up! From there, we headed straight on NH 4, the climate was excellent for a bike ride. We all were touching on an average 80 km on our speedometer. Just when we were enjoying our new found bliss in our adventurous mission, we were in for some great surprise…Guess what happened next… Guess- guess…Okay fine I’ll break the suspense… Renald’s bike betrayed him!! It decided to take a break and rest for a while actually had some trouble starting the engine. By then I and Abhishek had almost reached Devanahalli International airport 5 Km ahead of Renald. So the SOS was sent to all to stop on the road side. As I was at the front with Rajiv as my pillion, later was joined by Abishek and Pargath; we decide to search for a chai-pani ka adda and guess for our luck we found one just half a km ahead of us. By this time The BIG man ( Renald) has already lost half his energy trying to start the bike Poor Renald… now you know the secret of his weight loss! (Oops… ssshhhh… that’s a secret between you and the bikerz, okay?) Bhaskar and Alok stayed with Renald. Later we were joined by Srini and Raghu. Srini Was looking more like a roadi as he had all the Biking gears with him.

Now at our chai-pani ka adda, Srini took a li’l class about the protection gear that he had bought. Srini told us how difficult was it for Raghu to sit behind him. The raste ka chai was so good that no one could stop at just one and all of us had 3 cups. Finally Renald had then given up on his bike by then and joined us with Bhaskar’s bike. However, it was decided that Renald, Abishek and Bhaskar would stay back and fix the bike while rest of the group will head to Nandhi hills. So we were back on the roads with 3 Beauties (Bikes ofcourse- all you girlfriends and wives) and 6 Roadies (Beasts??? ).

Our excitement knew no boundaries (thank god we didn’t jump off the bikes though) the moment we saw Nandhi hills from the highway… riding through the twists and turns of the mountain was no big deal as the only focus was the Hill top! I have to tell you this that the ride through the mountain was awesome with so many hairpins. And every one wanted to be the leader here… can imagine a mini race on the to the hill??. The roar of the 500 cc machismo (the beast) and the other baby beasts was echoing along the mountain. We stopped 2 km from the top of the hill to have a Photoo Session- after all we are the much talked about Bikerzzzz. Alok and Raghu practiced a little bit of cricket with Pargath watching from behind thinking what these guys upto. With each one trying to show off their hidden talents and different acts. After taking some snaps we again started non stop to the Top of the hill.

Finally we reached the top, parked our beauties, and started the climb to the top of hill. We got the news that the mechanic has started working on renald’s bike (we could hear Reni and the gang screaming from the foothills J). SO now what do we feeling on top of the world, literally…??? NO prizes for guessing- Of course Cricket!! But lemme be specific- short cricket. It was fun playing the short cricket with Srini being the top scorer followed by Raghu. And the bowling was taken care of by Rajiv.

By 11:30 The rest of the gang joined us and we all had a little grand cuisine… wanna know the menu? Contact the ‘been there done that’ guys!!! After the lunch we explored the mountain took some photos and were identifying Tipus Drop , finally it was concluded that there were Tipus Drop version 1.0, Tipus Drop version 2.0( Software minds at work). After exploring the mountain we all headed back to Namma Bangalore and this time all of us TOGETHER. We were happy to have Reni, Abishek and Bhaskar with us on our way back….
At the foot of the mountain we stopped to eat the yummy puri and aalo ka sabji which was prepared by Srini’s wife, it was a great effort from her side to get up early by 5AM and prepare lunch for 10 Roadies(considering Renny as 1+1J) hats of for her effort. Another photoo session in the middle of the road(Upcoming models). After stopping for 15 min and gulping the food we all headed back to Bangalore….

Were we tired…..? Yes to the core….
Was it fun…? You bet to the deepest core…
ONCE MORE…???? NO Doubt!!!

Where next? .... Come and find out :-)
